Bucks County teen Geyahna Medwatz, missing for nearly three months, last seen in Southwest Philadelphia

Geyahna Medwatz, 16, of West Rockhill Township, Pennsylvania, missing since March 21.

Anthony and Katie Medwatz are still pleading with the public and their community to help them find their 16-year-old daughter Geyahna, who suddenly disappeared early on the morning of March 21 from her West Rockhill residence on Lower Rocky Dale Road.

“I can't believe we still don't know where Geyahna is. My heart breaks every day,” Katie wrote on Facebook last week. “I am so worried, scared and sad. I just need her to be safe.

Medwatz was last seen March 29, eight days after he was reported missing, in Southwest Philadelphia. Katie said she may have been seen in Upper Darby, Kensington, Kensington & Allegheny and on Ruth Street in Philadelphia.

Geyahna also goes by “GG,” is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. It is unclear what Geyahna was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

All Katie wants is everything a mother wants: to know that her little girl is okay and to hope to hold her again.

“Please continue to share her information until she is found,” she wrote.

Geyahna's personal belongings were left behind, but a deactivated cell phone was in her possession, police said.

Police said Geyahna also suffered from mental health issues and was not taking medication.

Eleven weeks. For the Medwatz, 11 weeks is a long time. Eleven weeks without knowing where their daughter is. Eleven weeks of constant worry.

Pennridge Regional Police said Geyahna left her home between midnight and 6:30 a.m. Surveillance video from a nearby home captured a vehicle stopping in front of Geyahna's home at 2:36 a.m. and then leaving about a half an hour later, police said.

Investigators said the footage shows a figure, believed to be Geyahna, walking away from the house with a flashlight around 2:50 a.m.

The vehicle left Lower Rocky Dale Road and headed toward Upper Rocky Dale Road, police said. Police were unable to determine the make and model of the vehicle from the video.

Residents with security cameras living on or near Allentown Road, Thousand Acre Road and Ridge Valley Road will be required to check the recordings on March 21 between 2 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. for any vehicles traveling in the area , the police said.

Geyahna's missing persons case was featured on a May episode of the REELZ TV show “On Patrol: Live” (think “COPS” and “America's Most Wanted” mixed together)

“This is a case where, again, it's very possible that a teenager was communicating online with a stranger, left home to meet this person and disappeared,” said presenter Angeline Hartmann, from “On Patrol: Live”. “Her grandmother worked nights and that night she said she spoke to her before she left, in person. Then, on the phone, they spoke again.

Hartmann said everything was fine during the conversations, but the next morning when the grandmother came to wake her up for school, she was gone.

Video surveillance of the vehicle outside the home is when Geyahna was likely arrested, Hartmann said.

“Pennridge police have been very active and investigators are hopeful that she is still in Pennsylvania,” Hartmann said on the show. “That’s why it’s important to share nationally.”
