ST. GEORGE – A brush fire that broke out near Rockville Friday afternoon led to the closure of State Route 9, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.

The closure at Mile 29 (Ansazi Way in Springdale) affects both directions and was reported by UDOT at 3:30 p.m. UDOT officials anticipate the road could be reopened around 4:30 p.m.
