Brooklyn man arrested in Queensbury after drug investigation

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Brooklyn man was arrested Tuesday in Queensbury following a drug investigation. Gregory Nelson, 41, faces several charges.

On Tuesday, law enforcement received information about a possible drug sale at a Queensbury hotel. Through surveillance, troopers identified Nelson as the suspect.


After further investigation, state troopers said Nelson had several active Washington County warrants for his arrest. Nelson was taken into custody and upon his arrest, law enforcement said they found drug paraphernalia, a large amount of cash and narcotics including heroin and crack cocaine, packaged for sale.

Charges:

  • Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (six counts)
  • Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree

Nelson was taken to State Police in Queensbury where he was processed. He was arraigned in the Warren County Centralized Partial Arraignment Court and was remanded to the Warren County Correctional Facility without bail.
