British Columbia coroner confirms human remains identified as missing Dawson Creek woman

DAWSON CREEK — Dawson Creek RCMP have now confirmed that human remains found along the Kiskatinaw River have been positively identified as RenĂ©e Didier.

The British Columbia Coroners Service conducted an autopsy on the remains. The coroner and police are not commenting on how Didier could have been killed.

The remains were discovered on May 18 west of Highway 97 by an industrial worker who was testing river water.

Didier disappeared on December 2. Security camera footage showed Didier at a gas station in the early morning hours of December 3.

The images of Didier, who sometimes goes by the last name Supernant, were the last time she was seen before disappearing.

Didier, 40, is one of four people reported missing in Dawson Creek over the past 15 months. Police are still looking for Darylyn Supernant, Cole Hosack and Dave Domingo.

The BC RCMP's Northern District Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation and is asking the public for any information that could help further the investigation.

If you have any information, you are asked to call the Dawson Creek RCMP at (250) 784-3700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
