Brain scans could help identify paranoia and depression

Researchers from the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, together with scientists from the Medical University of Plovdiv (Bulgaria), have identified neural networks responsible for the occurrence of paranoia and depression. The findings have the potential to revolutionize diagnosis using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) scans instead of relying solely on questionnaires.

Although existing questionnaires provide valuable information, they can be subjective. By using fRMI alongside these tools, we can move towards a more objective approach.
