Boys swept away by the river: two bodies found

Rescuers have identified two bodies of the three boys missing since Friday in the waters of the Natisone river, in Premariacco, in the province of Udine. Civil Protection volunteers would have found them.

These would be the bodies of the two young girls, Patrizia Cormos, 20 years old, residing in Balsadella di Campoformido (Udine) and Bianca Doros, 23 years old.

The bodies were identified hundreds of meters from the riverbed where the two girls had stopped with Cristian Molnar, a 25-year-old boy living in Austria and engaged to Bianca Doros, before being submerged when firefighters tried to save them.

In published photos and videos, the three are seen kissing, perhaps to protect themselves from the fury of the water, before giving in and being dragged away.

Shortly before, a passerby heard the boys' desperate cries and alerted the firefighters. The firefighters, a few dozen meters from the ground, had placed a mobile crane and deployed a ladder, also throwing ropes to the three young people so that they could hold on. But before their eyes, the current had carried them away.
