Boy dies Sunday after shooting in Fort Worth; no arrests have been made, police say

A boy was fatally shot Sunday night in Fort Worth during what authorities believe may have been an attempted robbery, police said.

Shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Silverton Circle, where someone had reported a shooting, police said.

Responding officers found a “young man” who appeared to have been shot, police said. The boy, whose name police did not release Monday, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

“Preliminary investigations suggest that one or more unknown suspects were attempting to rob the victim at the time of the shooting,” police said in a news release Monday.

As of Monday morning, no arrests had been made in connection with the shooting, according to police.
