Boxing star Ryan Garcia 'arrested' after alleged incident in Beverly Hills

Ryan Garcia was reportedly arrested.

Boxer Ryan Garcia has reportedly been arrested after an alleged incident at a hotel in Beverly Hills.

In April, Garcia won his fight against Devin Haney, but then faced major controversy due to an alleged failed drug test.

As reported by ESPN, Garcia had tested positive for the performance-enhancing substance ostarine the day before and during his fight against Haney.

ESPN reported that Garcia was arrested Saturday evening in Los Angeles.

The report stated: “Boxing star Ryan Garcia was arrested Saturday on vandalism charges after a Beverly Hills hotel accused him of causing an estimated $15,000 in damage, a watch commander told ESPN from the Beverly Hills Police Department.

“Garcia, 25, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. after a driver who dropped him off at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills called police, according to police.”

In a statement, Garcia's attorney, Darin Chavez, said, “Ryan has spoken openly about his mental health issues over the years, and right now he is facing an immense emotional burden.”

“The support and understanding of fans and audiences is crucial as he navigates these personal challenges. We are working diligently to provide Ryan with the resources he needs.
