Early in the Celtics' blowout loss in Dallas on Friday night, Boston police arrested a 19-year-old man for pushing an officer multiple times while “heavily intoxicated” outside the game watch party 4.

Eduardo Caldera flew in from Maine for the festive evening on Causeway Street as the Celtics looked to clinch Banner 18, but the Mavericks had other ideas in mind. Dallas defeated Boston, 122-84, the third-biggest loss in NBA Finals history.

Caldera was separated from his friends who had tickets to the sold-out party, and Garden security, around 9:07 p.m., requested help from Boston police to remove the man, seen “heavily intoxicated with drinks alcoholic,” according to a police officer. report obtained by the Herald.

After using a police-issued cell phone to contact his mother, Caldera “pushed a police officer despite being warned not to do so,” the report states. “Shortly after, he again made physical contact with the officer, prompting him to warn him that he would be under arrest.”

Caldera's mother, in a phone call, told her son she would pick him up at a downtown police station, but as officers escorted Caldera to Causeway Street to take him away, “He pushed a police officer once again,” the report added.

The alleged sequence resulted in Caldera's arrest for battery on a police officer. It was the only arrest Boston police made during the watch party, a department spokesperson told the Herald on Saturday.

What might have ended as a night of celebration, had the Celtics pulled off the sweep, was marred by at least one brawl between fans in the stands, as Dallas handed Boston its worst loss of the season.

Garden police and security separated at least four fans who fought in the box, escorting one from the arena, as the Mavericks increased their lead to more than 40 early in the fourth quarter.

Video of the fight went viral, with Barstool Sports and personalities who work for the ultra-popular sports media and pop culture company sharing it on social media.

“Their first loss in over a month and Celtics fans face off on their own watch party,” Barstool Sports posted. Its founder and owner, Dave Portnoy, commented “GUYS GUYS GUYS!” . It's 3-1!!! Poise!!!Poise! BALANCE!!!

In another post later Saturday, Portnoy said, “My concern level with the Celtics is currently 0%. If they lose on Monday, it will be 97%.

Before Game 4, Boston police prepared for a possible championship celebration outside the Garden, erecting a series of barricades and warning drivers and pedestrians that streets around the arena would be closed at halftime.

“There will also be no re-entry into establishments in this area,” a traffic advisory states.

With this defeat, the Celtics, trailing 3-1, look to close the series in Game 5 on Monday. Tickets on StubHub started at $1,347 as of Saturday afternoon.
