Boron man identified as person struck and killed by hit-and-run driver along Highway 99

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified a man who was struck and killed in a hit-and-run collision last week along Highway 99.

The man was identified as Bryan Adan Cruz, 29, of Boron, according to the coroner.

Cruz was pronounced dead early in the morning of May 31 when he was found along the northbound lanes of Highway 99 near the Lerdo Highway. According to California Highway Patrol investigators, Cruz was struck by a driver who fled the scene after the collision.

No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.
