Maj. Linc Boyer of the Milledgeville Police Department said the body of the missing swimmer was found Friday afternoon.

“One of his brothers who was there with him gave us a pretty good location, so that’s where we’re focusing our efforts.” The current was much stronger yesterday than today,” Boyer told WGXA.

Boyer told WGXA that his brother, Holden Knight, lived in Milledgeville, while the drowning victim, Hunter Knight, was from Thomaston, Georgia.

According to Athens-Clarke County officials, the Oconee Rivers Greenway System offers 3.1 miles of natural surface-only hiking trails and eight miles of concrete.
