Kentucky State Police detectives located the body of an infant while searching for 8-month-old Miya Rudd on Friday. Kentucky State Police said Friday afternoon that around 1:15 p.m. they found a decomposing body hidden inside a residence in a “concealed” manner. KSP said the body is “matched to that of Miya Rudd.” Once investigators process the scene, the baby will be taken by the Ohio County Coroner's Office and transported to the Ohio State Medical Examiner's Office. Kentucky State Police detectives located the body of an infant while searching for 8-month-old Miya Rudd on Friday.

Kentucky State Police said Friday afternoon that around 1:15 p.m. they found a decomposing body hidden inside a residence in a “concealed” manner. KSP said the body was “consistent with that of Miya Rudd”.

Once investigators have processed the scene, the baby will be taken by the Ohio County Coroner's Office and transported to the Kentucky Medical Examiners' Office in Louisville.

According to KSP, it started with a welfare check for 8-month-old Miya. Police said she was last suspected of being in the care of her parents, 30-year-old Cage Rudd and 29-year-old Tesla Tucker.

Officers arrested Tucker and Rudd during the welfare check. Police said Miya could not be found during the welfare check.

Both were charged with several drug offenses, as well as child abuse and abandonment of a minor.

Since then, six people have been arrested, including Miya's two grandparents, most of them also linked to drugs.
