Body found near Tech High School identified

SAINT CLOUD (WJON News) — The body of the person found near Tech High School earlier this week has been identified.

In an update to a story WJON brought you Monday, the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension identified the man as Mohamed Mustaf Mohamud, 26, of St. Cloud. Shortly after 11 a.m. Monday morning, the St. Cloud Fire Department was called to the 4200 block of South 33rd Street, near Tech High School, for a brush fire.

Once there, they found Mohamud's body and called in the St. Cloud Police Department, BCA and the State Fire Marshal's Office to assist in the investigation. The St. Cloud Police Department said Mohamud died as a result of the fire and that no foul play occurred during the incident.
