A body has been found during the search for a 24-year-old woman who went missing last bank holiday.

Leah Daley, from Folkestone, was last seen listening to music and heading to a beautiful spot along the town's coast at 7pm on Monday May 5.

Her family previously said Ms Daley had frequently walked to The Warren since she was a child.

They told the search: “That Leah did not return home without informing the family or any of her friends is completely out of character for her. »

Ms Daley was last seen at the foot of a concrete path leading from Martello Tower to The Warren – a local beauty spot popular with families and dog walkers with sea views.

A growing Facebook group called Leah's Search was launched and the hashtag #findleahdaley was circulating online.

The family's statement said “people don't disappear.”

“A lover and frequent walker of the Warren since childhood, Leah knows the routes and surrounding area well,” they said. “Extensive searches at sea and on land have shown no trace of Leah. No additional information, sightings, CCTV or personal items have been found since Bank Holiday Sunday, heavily populated with campers, large groups, fishermen and dog walkers, when she went missing.

A candlelight vigil was due to be held for Ms Daley on Friday, before police announced the discovery.
