Body found in Jones County identified as missing woman

JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – Jones County deputies say the body found inside a vehicle on Monday, June 10 has been positively identified as that of a missing woman.

The body of Samantha Elisabeth McCowan, 32, was found at a business on Highway 184, according to investigators.

Investigators said an autopsy performed by the Mississippi Forensic Laboratory showed no indication of foul play. They also said officers obtained security camera video from the area during their investigation, which also indicated no foul play.
