Body found in Concord, New Hampshire: police identify man

Police have announced the identity of the person found buried in the backyard of a Concord home. The body of Anthony Meunier, of Concord, was found buried on the property of a home on Airport Road, police said. Police said Meunier was 49 at the time. of his death. In January, police asked for the public's help in locating Meunier, who was initially reported missing on Feb. 20, 2023. Police said Meunier was last seen by a family member the Friday before to be missing. The same day, Meunier was caught on surveillance camera making a withdrawal from a Bangor Savings Bank ATM at 100 Loudon Road. Police said he made his withdrawal around 11:10 a.m. When asking the public for information about Meunier in January, police mentioned that Meunier was known to have associates on Airport Road. Last week, police spent days searching a property on Airport Road. “They dug Friday night, all day Saturday, and it looked like they found something Saturday afternoon around 2 or 2:30 p.m. Then an hour later they started packing up,” said neighbor Russell Smith on WMUR last week. The house had recently been purchased by a company that flips houses. Officials said there was no threat to the public in connection with this investigation, which police said was active and open. Other neighbors said the house was recently purchased by a home improvement company.
