Bobcat breaks ground on manufacturing plant near Monterrey, Mexico

Bobcat Co. held a groundbreaking ceremony June 13 for its new $300 million manufacturing facility in Mexico.

Located in the municipality of Salinas Victoria, outside of Monterrey, in the state of Neuvo Leon, Mexico, the 700,000 square foot facility is expected to be operational in 2026.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place in the presence of Bobcat representatives, elected officials and business leaders from the region.

The new location, which was announcement in 2023, will expand Bobcat's existing global footprintcreate additional production capacity and manufacturing capabilities for somecompact trackAndcompact loadermodels. Bobcat skid steer loaders are also produced in the United Statesdenied States. and the Czech Republic, where production will remain after the opening of the new factory.

The manufacturing facility will seek LEED Silver certification and will feature cutting-edge technology emphasizing quality, precision and energy efficiency.

The design team includes Shultz + Associates Architects, based in the United States, and GP, based in Mexico. Construction, a division of Grupo GP, as construction director. Shultz + Associates Architects partnered with Bobcat on the design and architecture of several of its North American locations.
