In February, Morris was accused of stabbing an individual in the bicep with a knife following an altercation over possession of a vehicle.

Morris pleaded guilty Monday to the two felony charges and the misdemeanor charges were dismissed.

Judge Amy McFarland sentenced him to eight years in the custody of the Department of Corrections, followed by one year of mandatory parole and a drug treatment program.

Morris' attorney, First Assistant Public Defender Matthew Koetters, did not respond to a request for comment Friday.
