Billy Ray Cyrus Says He's 'Proud' of Miley Amid Alleged Estrangement

The country singer took to Instagram on Friday, where he shared a sweet throwback photo of himself and Miley…revealing in the caption that the photo is from an old CMA Fest appearance.

He wrote… “One of my favorite memories: @cma Fest, back when it was Fan Fair. It's @mileycyrus and I, surrounded by thousands of amazing fans at the fairgrounds. The next day , someone handed me this photo, and I wrote this poem at that moment on the bus.

Although there was reportedly tension between the divided Cyrus clan, Billy Ray made it clear that he only loved his eldest daughter.

He continued… “I am incredibly proud of her. She is a survivor and a true artist. She learned early on to love and appreciate the fans who make everything possible. We both cherish the bond that We connect with our fans and are grateful for each and every one of you.”

Billy Ray's message appears to be a sort of olive branch to Miley, who notably snubbed his father earlier this year at the 2024 Grammys. ICYMI…after Miley won Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year – her first ever Grammys – she thanked her mother Tish Cyrussister Brandi Cyrus and boyfriend Max Morandowho were all there that evening.

She added… “Thank you all so much. I don't think I forgot anyone, but I may have forgotten some underwear. Bye!”

Miley later doubled down on her snub, once again failing to mention Billy Ray on social media after the Grammys …instead I chose to shout godmother Dolly Parton.

The fallout between Miley and Billy Ray reportedly stems from her divorce from Tish …who seems to have grown closer to her daughter in recent years.

Miley notably stood next to his mother in recent months, despite love triangle drama rumors between Tish, Noah Cyrus and Tish's husband, Dominique Purcell.

Remember, Noah sadly missed Tish and Dom's Malibu nuptials last year…instead, he headed to Walmart in a Billy Ray t-shirt.
