“BILD”: German investigators target the family of Rama, Olsi involved in cocaine trafficking in Hanover!

The German newspaper BILD highlights the drug networks and cartels that supply Germany and all of Europe with cocaine.

On its front page, the newspaper published an article entitled: “Albania, the narco-state on our doorstep”. German investigators and American authorities have warned that the country is a center of the European cocaine mafia.

Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser also warned BILD that Albanian gangs are flooding the German drug market.

BILD writes in the article that mafia murders have long been part of daily life in Albania, where 100 such murders were recorded in 2021 alone. Mafia clan leaders and cocaine traffickers also have excellent relations within the police.

The German Federal Criminal Police Office had to create its own investigation team in Albania and Kosovo, which they say has so far been a success. The article also specifies that German and international investigators also targeted the family of the head of government, Edi Rama.

“One of the main problems mentioned is that the drug mafia has links to the highest political positions in Albania. It also appears that German and international investigators are also targeting the family of the head of the socialist government, Edi Rama. His brother, Olsi Rama is involved in a major cocaine trafficking case from Hanover The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, himself, according to American court documents, bribed the head of the counter-espionage agency. FBI in New York, Charles McGonigal, for a $250,000 bribe. the article says.

BILD writes that despite its ties to the mafia, Albania aspires to join the EU. The latter financed, with 9 billion euros of pre-accession aid (2021-2027), an additional six billion from the Reform and Growth Facility for the Western Balkans.
