Beyoncé and JAY-Z's lack of recent public appearances is linked to alleged friendship with Diddy, industry insider says

Beyoncé and JAY-Z are expected to make more public appearances right now, according to a music industry insider. Page six. Despite the release of Beyoncé's ambitious eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter, a little over two months ago, the legendary singer has been stepping away from the public eye in recent weeks. The couple's lack of attention comes next CNN posted footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie in a hotel in 2016 last month. They have maintained a public friendship with the Bad Boy mogul over the years, although nothing connects JAY or Beyoncé to the misconduct allegations made against Diddy. Page six reports that the two may be keeping a low profile to avoid bad publicity.

“It was supposed to be the time of Beyoncé, with her highly anticipated country album coming out (just) two months ago. And yet, we don't see it anywhere. The album is in decline and Jay and B aren't enjoying the spotlight,” said a source the outlet called “shocked.” “About a month before the release (March 29), Jay-Z s got up at the Grammys and complained that Beyoncé had never won Album of the Year. But what now? Does he think she'll win… for “Cowboy Carter” with no promotion… no appearances and no courting of the academy?

The insider added that while the album isn't a failure, “it's definitely not the heavy hitter everyone thought it would be.” They continued: “Something is happening. It came out with a bang. No. 1 everywhere. (Now) she and she are missing. Beyoncé gave up Cowboy Carter on March 29, 2024. It debuted at number one in the United States Billboard 200 and several other world charts.
