Acting as an effective damage-over-time dealer, this Venom-obsessed descendant is fantastic for those who like to shoot first and let the damage slowly take down their enemies. Freyna is a great character to explore, but like the others, you'll need the best build to really succeed against the Vulgas.

So, here is the best Freyna build, starting from the best active skills, modules, reactors and the weapon that you simply cannot miss.

Best Active Skill

Freyna has access to five skills in The First Descendant, and if used correctly, they can all be extremely powerful. However, there are a few that you should absolutely never avoid.

Toxic trauma is easily one of Freyna's best active skills in The First Descendant. When you combine Ranged Poison with the best weapon, you get a perfect combination. Not only does Poison deal damage to ranged enemies, but it also inflicts Room 0 Trauma, dealing even more damage and poisoning them for longer.

Poison decomposed is another fantastic active ability to have on hand. Similar to Toxic Trauma, it's a great ranged AoE ability and will poison your enemies, working perfectly with the best weapon. Plus, it deals fantastic damage and spreads through Toxic Imprints, keeping the kills coming.

Finally, you can't go wrong with Defense mechanism. Sure, there are plenty of attack skills you can use, but sometimes a little extra protection is vital. It's essential to have it on hand in case enemies get a little too close for comfort.

Below are the five skills available to Freyna in The First Descendant:

• Contagion links (passive): Increases the power of the Toxic Skill by the number of nearby enemies affected by the poison from Freyna's skill.
• Toxic trauma: Throws poison to attack the enemy target for damage and inflict 0 room trauma on nearby enemies.
• Defense mechanism: Greatly increases DEF. There is a chance to inflict 0 room trauma on enemies when attacking.
• Poison decomposed: Launches toxins to form a toxic swamp. Enemies that enter it take continuous damage and are affected by the Poison and Venom-Soaked effects. Enemies affected by Venom-Soaked leave toxic footprints when they move, and enemies that touch the toxic footprints are also affected by the poison.
• Venomous baptism: Replaces the current firearm with Venom Baptism. Enemies hit by Venom Baptism bullets suffer 0 room trauma.

The best weapons

Freyna's best weapon is undoubtedly the Fallen Hope Assault Rifle.

She has a fantastic Perdition and has a direct effect on all poisoned enemies, working perfectly with her kit and poison status effect. The extra damage to poisoned enemies and the area explosion make her a versatile weapon ideal for single targets and groups.

Fallen Hope's stats are as follows:

• ATK Firearm: 27
• Rate of fire : 600
• Reload speed: 1.7 seconds
• Effective range: 35 m
• Perdition: After hitting a poisoned enemy, the firearm's ATK is increased and applies this bonus to the attack. When you defeat a poisoned enemy, it triggers an explosion with a certain probability, dealing additional damage to nearby enemies.

Best Reactor

Much like Freyna, the best reactors you should choose are those that focus on Toxic and Tech (Mechanical).

Freyna practically lives and breathes toxic and poison, so capitalizing on these guys is the best bet in combat.

Naturally, you'll want to prioritize high skill power and attack power over Toxic and Tech, but in terms of damage per second and effectiveness, Toxic and Tech are the better options.
