The best weapon for Danjin is the 5-star Genesis Emerald. Although the buff only lasts 10 seconds, Danjin's ability to spam Crimson Fragment will allow you to keep it going almost indefinitely.

Among the 4 stars, the Battle Pass-exclusive Lumingloss is my main choice. Even though it doesn't have the CRIT Rate substat found in our top pick, the 4-star will offer a huge amount of ATK. Using it, Danjin will also be able to improve his basic and heavy ATK DMG by 20% after performing his skill.

For those looking to focus on survivability, using Sword#18 can also work. Once equipped, the weapon will allow him to heal 5% of his health after performing a heavy attack below 40% of his HP. Best sonatas and echoes for Danjin

The best sonata for Danjin is a solar eclipse in 5 pieces. The set is my main and only choice for her given its 10% increase in Havoc DMG and its ability to offer an additional 7.5% for each basic or heavy attack performed. The latter reaches a maximum of 4 stacks for a 30% increase in Havoc DMG. Each stack lasts 15 seconds.

For its echoes, I recommend opting for Crownless as the main in a formation including an Overlord, two Elites and two common choices. Crownless is a must for Danjin, as the Echo will provide a 12% increase in Havoc and Resonance skill DMG. The effect will take place after the echo is activated and will last 14 seconds. For other spots, go for any Echo of your choice as long as it meets the class criteria.

In terms of substats, go for Crit Rate, Crit DMG, HP, and ATK. As with all DPS, Danjin needs at least 50-60% critical rate to perform at her best.

The best Danjin team in Howling Waves will have her as the main DPS on the field, as well as Baizhi or Verina as healers and Deepen DMG supports.

For the sub-DPS spot, I recommend using Mortefi for his ability to both deal DMG off the field and provide a 38% heavy attack DMG deepening boost with his Outro skill. The latter is huge, as it will significantly increase the damage of Danjin's Chaoscleave and Scatterbloom. Using Taoqi in this role can work just as well given its ability to provide a 38% increase in DMG Deepen Resonance skill. It will also be able to protect the group, giving you a small margin for error.

Danjin can also work extremely well in a team of two Havoc DPS, as his Outro skill will allow him to provide a 23% increase in Havoc damage deepening. The effect will last for 14 seconds or until the affected character leaves the field.
