Despite not being able to deal critical hits in the game, that hasn't stopped the Fire Mage from being one of the best DPS characters. We ranked Jong-In as one of our A-Tier Hunters in Arise due to his massive fire damage and skills focused on his burn attacks, skill reset, and powerful ultimate skill.

Attack, fire damage and defense penetration are the best stats to improve and level up for Choi Jong-In in Solo Leveling: Arise.

With Jong-In unable to deal critical hits, avoid all stats, skills, weapons, and artifacts that enhance them in any way. Instead, it's essential to attack hard and improve all stats that increase one's overall DPS.

Specifically, fire damage and defense penetration will be key here. Its strengths lie in its many skills that deal fire damage, especially since most deal its OP Burn effect which deals long-lasting fire damage. Then any defense penetration or damage increase buffs will only make the effects stronger.

Best skills

Choi Jong-In's best skills are his basic attack Blast, Basic skills Rain of Flames And Flame SpearSpecial Skills Barrage of fire And Heavenly Fire Dragonas well as his Ultimate Skill End of days.

All of his skills are solid, which is a big part of why he's ranked so highly among the best Hunters to use in the game. However, his basic Blast attack stands out, because while it's a skill at low level, it always applies the Burn effect on each hit.

The Burn effect deals damage equal to 50% of Choi Jong-In's attack every 3 seconds and lasts for 15 seconds. With further advancement, it can be upgraded to deal damage equal to 100%.

His two basic skills, Rain of Flames and Flame Spear, don't emit a burn effect but are pure DPS machines and both deal an insane 1550% of Jong-In's attack stats.

As you level up, you will then want to focus on his two special OP skills of Fire Barrage and Sky Fire Dragon. In particular, Skyfire damage deals a huge amount of damage and will be important to upgrade to improve your DPS.

Finally, his ultimate skill End of Days is a skill you should continue to improve, because while it doesn't cause a Burn effect, it deals a huge amount of Fire damage for that killing blow.
