Berks man wanted for stabbing woman, leaving her for dead, arrested in Lancaster County | Berks Regional News

CUMRU TWP., Pa. – Berks Co. officials say they have arrested a man who they say stabbed a woman, leaving her for dead.

The Berks County Sheriff's Office said Zachary Webb, 44, was arrested Monday evening in Lancaster County.

On May 1, authorities say Webb intentionally stabbed the victim in the chest with a 4 ½ inch steak knife.

Police said the incident happened at Webb's home in the 300 block of Pershing Boulevard in Cumru Township.

Webb is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and related offenses. Authorities say he was also wanted on probation violation warrants in Berks and Chester counties.

Webb was taken to the Berks County Central Booking Center where he was processed and arraigned.

Bail was set at $500,000.
