Bend woman arrested for trafficking fentanyl | MyCentralOregon.com

A 34-year-old Bend woman was arrested on fentanyl charges after authorities concluded a month-long drug investigation. The investigation by the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) team, in conjunction with the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office, revealed that the suspect was transporting drugs into Deschutes County and trafficking fentanyl in the Bend area .

June 7thOn 8:24 p.m., at approximately 2 a.m., CODE detectives were able to locate the female suspect in her vehicle outside of Deschutes County. Drug agents followed her as she headed toward Peter Skene Ogden State Park. Deschutes County Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop during which K9 “Bonnie” – a Bend Police Department drug detection K9 – was deployed and alerted to the presence of drug odors in his vehicle, a blue 1999 Ford Explorer.

CODE detectives requested and obtained a search warrant and discovered she was in possession of fentanyl pills and powder, packaging materials and a digital scale.

The suspect was transported to the Deschutes County Adult Jail where she was found to be in possession of additional fentanyl pills and methamphetamine. Additional charges may be filed in this case while the investigation is ongoing.
