Beauty queens 'have nothing' needed for upcoming pageants

This summer's Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants are in turmoil, multiple insiders told The Post.

The 73rd Miss USA pageant is scheduled to air live on The CW on August 4, three days after Miss Teen USA was scheduled to air. aired on the same network — but pageant directors have yet to receive official confirmation of the venue, insiders said.

Previously, the CW network told the Post that it was evaluating its “relationship with both competitions.”

“We were told we would receive an announcement of the location Monday or Tuesday of this week and we did not receive it,” a member of the organization told the Post on May 24.

“People say, 'Did you hear anything?' When do we need photos of the girls? We have to buy them plane tickets. Now the girls [typically] have schedules, what they need to bring, who their roommate is. They have nothing,” the source added.

The Post has contacted the CW Network and the Miss USA Organization, including CEO Laylah Rose, for comment.

This all comes after Miss USA, Noelia Voigt, and Miss Teen USA, UmaSofia Srivastava, resigned earlier this month amid what sources described to the Post as “harmful working conditions,” including harassment and intimidation. Claudia Michelle, Miss USA's social media manager, also resigned.

Sources also claimed that the organization's CEO, Laylah Rose, was secretly posting on social media using the identities of Voigt and Srivastava.

Now, insiders say pageant boss Laylah Rose apparently has no plans to resign and has yet to address the “elephant in the room” – the resignation of the national title holder – with the state competition directors.

“In the meeting she had with the state directors, she said everything was perfectly fine. “There are no problems, we continue as usual, all our partners and sponsors are fantastic. We're going to announce them soon,'” a skeptical source told the Post.

“She said, 'We can't address this publicly because we can't talk about mental health issues,'” a source close to Voigt, 24, and Srivastava, 17, told the Post, citing the Voigt's statement citing mental health issues. .

Concerned fans on Instagram had pointed out that the first letter of each sentence in Voigt's resignation spelled out a message: “I AM SILENCE.” Sources previously told the Post that this was intentional.

But, Voigt and Srivastava's source added of the former Miss Teen USA, “UmaSofia didn't quit because of mental health issues – UmaSofia quit because of harassment, bullying and toxic work environment.”

But multiple insiders told the Post that Rose appears to have given up on filling the role of Miss Teen USA after the runner-up — Miss New York, Stephanie Skinner — declined the crown.

“We haven't heard a word [about the next Miss Teen USA]” said another member of the Miss USA organization.

Sources told the Post that operations at both pageants have been operating on shoestring budgets since Rose took over in August 2023.

Michelle, the former social media manager, previously told the Post that Srivastava had the Miss Teen USA crown broken for months because Rose didn't have the money to fix it.

“Before, people would pick up the girls at the airport,” the organization source said of the Miss Teen USA pageant. Last year, the teenagers had to go to the hotel alone. Nothing has been put in place.
