Police said at the time that members of Broussard's own family were targeted in the drive-by shooting.

His sentences, which will run concurrently, are part of a plea agreement.

Broussard, imprisoned since her arrest in September 2023, will receive recognition for the sentence of nearly nine months in prison that she served.

She was not the shooter, but the driver of the shooting that injured two people, according to court testimony.

She turned herself in and was arrested by Jefferson County deputies two days after the shooting, records show.

On Sunday afternoon, September 3, 2023, Beaumont Police officers were dispatched to the scene of a shooting in the 2500 block of Pine Street.

When police arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken by ambulance to a southeast Texas hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to a police news release.
