Beachgoers disperse after minor stabbed in Ocean City, New Jersey

Crowds ran screaming from the boardwalk in Ocean City, New Jersey, after a person was stabbed there Saturday night.

In video obtained by NBC10, crowds of beachgoers can be seen fleeing along 12th Street, down the ramp from the boardwalk around 9:10 p.m. Saturday.

Officials said the disturbance occurred after a juvenile was stabbed during an incident on the Parkway between 9th and 10th Streets.

As of 9:30 a.m. Sunday, police had not provided any further information about the incident. In particular, she was unable to confirm the age, gender or condition of the person who was stabbed, other than to say that it was a minor.

However, law enforcement officials told NBC10 they plan to provide an update on this incident on Sunday.
