Base camps for the first 2026 World Cup identified

FIFA has published its first list of base camps in which the 48 teams of the 2026 World Cup will be able to set up their hub from where they will travel to their first three matches.

Nine cities outside of the 11 U.S. host cities are included:

• Chattanooga, TN. (Baylor School)
• Cincinnati, Ohio (FC Cincinnati)
• Green Bay, Wisconsin. (Lambeau Field)
• Indianapolis/Westfield, Indiana. (Grand Parc sports campus)
• Irvine, California. (Grand Parc sports complex)
• Louisville, KY. (City of Louisville)
• St. Louis, Missouri. (Saint-Louis University)
•Salt Lake City, Utah (RSL Training Center, University of Utah)
•San Antonio, TX (San Antonio Stadium)

Over the next 18 months, the list of potential team base camps will grow.


• Knockout Stage Rooms: FIFA also updated the 2026 match schedule to show where the co-hosts, whose group stage venues are known, will play if they advance to the knockout stage.
