Barboursville crash victim identified, driver of second vehicle charged – WCHS Network | News • Sports • Business

BARBOURSVILLE, West Virginia — An Ohio man is charged with drunken driving causing death after a fatal crash Thursday night in Barboursville that killed a Cabell County teenager.

Barboursville police said Joshua Wilson, 23, of Middleport, Ohio, was driving under the influence of alcohol when his vehicle struck a car driven by Braxton McComas, 17, of Huntington, at the intersection of U.S. Route 60 and Davis Creek Road around 9 p.m.

McComas died at the scene. A teenage passenger in his vehicle remains hospitalized.

Police said Wilson was also taken to hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening. He will be charged with drunken driving causing death and drunken driving causing bodily harm after he is released from the hospital.

People in a third vehicle involved in the accident were not injured.
