Police arrested today a Couple from Bangkok for their involvement in drug trafficking activitiesA search of the couple's property uncovered a significant quantity of drugs and valuables.

Police arrested Supakit, 35, and Sasithorn, 28, on a road in Bang Phlat district. The arrest followed a search of their residence and a storage area in Soi Somdet Phra Pinklao 2, also in Bangkok. The operation resulted in the seizure of about 420 grams of ketamine, four mobile phones, two cars, two motorbikes, 50,000 baht in cash, 5 baht in gold and a Hermes bracelet.

The investigation began on June 27, when police conducted a crackdown on a local drug network. The operation eventually identified Supakit and Sasithorn as key players in the supply of drugs to teenagers in and around the Wat Dao Dueng community. Continued surveillance of their activities provided enough evidence to warrant a search and arrest.

Police observed Supakit park his motorbike on a road in Soi Khrua Khon 4. Upon approaching and conducting a search, they found 0.6 grams of ketamine in his jacket pocket. Supakit admitted to owning the drugs. Following this, officers obtained a warrant to search Supakit’s residence in Soi Trok San Chao, Bang Yi Khan. Inside, they found Sasithorn and approximately 20 grams of ketamine.

The investigation extended to a car parked in a storage area on Soi Somdet Phra Pinklao 2. Police discovered an additional 400 grams of ketamine inside the vehicle. A background check revealed that Sasithorn had a criminal record involving drug possession with intent to distribute amphetamine, a Schedule 1 drug, in Chon Buri province, KhaoSod reported.

Supakit and Sasithorn were arrested and charged with unauthorized distribution of a Schedule 2 controlled substance, ketamine. This case highlights the ongoing efforts of police to dismantle drug networks and reduce illegal drug trafficking within communities.
