Well, a judge set bail at more than $1 million for a teenager accused of a carjacking caught on camera. >> YES, THE 14-YEAR-OLD MADE HIS FIRST APPEARANCE IN COURT TODAY IN MUNICIPAL COURT. JUDGE JOHNNY MCDANIELS GAVE THE TEENAGER A $1.7 million bond, according to JPD. THE TEEN'S PARENTS RELEASE HIM TO THE COPIAH COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AFTER SEEING VIDEO OF THE RING OF THE RING IN NEWS REPORTS OF THE TEEN WHO ALLEGEDLY carjacked a family of six in a house on JANE AVENUE LAST FRIDAY. THE TEENAGER IS CHARGED WITH SIX COUNTS OF AGGREGATE ASSAULT AND ONE COUNT OF WEAPONIZATION.

According to Jackson police, the juvenile was arrested Wednesday. Police said the parents of one of the suspects brought their 14-year-old son to the Copiah County Sheriff's Office to report him after seeing this viral video on the news. Jamontae Latrell Kelly, 14, is charged with carjacking and six felony counts. aggravated assault in connection with Friday's carjacking at a home on Jayne Avenue in Jackson. The doorbell camera shows Heather Allen, her three children and her grandchildren in front of the house when a suspect shoots and walks toward the vehicle. They were then held at gunpoint and forced out of the car by two suspects. Both suspects left in Allen's car, which has since been recovered by JPD. Police say efforts to find the second suspect continue.
