Authorities search for suspected armed man near Brady

The Nebraska State Patrol is searching for an armed man south of Brady on Saturday.

Authorities have issued a shelter-in-place RAVE alert for Brady as they continue to search for a man described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, possibly wearing a black hoodie and armed.

The suspect crashed his vehicle at the gas station just off I-80 at the Brady exit shortly before 1:30 p.m.

A Telegraph reporter saw the man, armed with a gun, flee his crashed vehicle into the woods and heard gunshots.

The Nebraska State Patrol and law enforcement have set up a perimeter around the area and are searching for the man, according to scanner reports.

The man was reportedly injured in a previous collision at mile marker 164 on Interstate 80, according to scanner reports. Authorities were also investigating a collision at mile marker 177 of the North Platte interchange.
