At least two people were killed and several others injured in a shooting during a Juneteenth celebration at a Round Rock, Texas, park Saturday night, police said. A large crowd was at the event at the time and “several victims were affected,” the chief said. Officers at the event intervened and began to assist, Banks said.

Police had no suspects in custody early Sunday morning, and it's unclear how many people opened fire, according to the chief. “This is an ongoing investigation,” Banks said.

“It breaks your heart for a family that was coming to enjoy their night out, and now their lives are changed forever because of someone who doesn't care about other people's lives, and it's so disappointing,” Banks said .
