At least 2 injured in Woodland Hills stabbing attack – NBC Los Angeles

A man armed with a knife was arrested after at least two people, including his father, were injured in a stabbing attack Wednesday morning in Woodland Hills.

The stabbing was reported in the 24000 block of Hatteras Street in the west San Fernando Valley community. A crime scene tape blocked the front of a house in the neighborhood.

Two people were in serious to critical condition and a third suffered moderate injuries, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Police said two people were stabbed.

When officers arrived on the scene, the knife-wielding attacker was holding his father hostage, police said.

The 35-year-old man was finally taken into custody. Police said the attack stemmed from a domestic dispute over a court date the man was due to appear in on Wednesday.
