Aston Villa fee for Lewis Dobbin identified

Aston Villa pay Everton fee of around £10m for signing Lewis Dobbin, according to the Times.

Everton and Villa are doing business as the Premier League PSR deadline of June 30 fast approaches.

Aston Villa have just sold Tim Iroegbunam to Everton, with the midfielder expected to strengthen Sean Dyche's midfield at Goodison Park.

Now one player has moved on, with winger Dobbin moving to continue his career at Villa Park.

The fee Aston Villa paid for Dobbin is undisclosed, but is claimed to be around £10 million.

The deal will help Everton, as the Dobbin academy product represents pure profit in their books for PSR purposes.

He struggled to make a big impact at Everton under Dyche last season, featuring just 12 times in the Premier League with a one-goal return.

Dobbin will look to force his way into Unai Emery's side, especially with the Champions League on the agenda at Villa Park in the new season.
