Ashland County Sheriff's Office investigates Polk for clues in unsolved Ben Brubaker case

POLK — Detectives are taking a fresh look at a nearly 20-year-old case involving a missing Ashland man.

Investigators from the Sheriff's Office, Ashland Police and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation searched two properties in Polk on Tuesday.

Brubaker has been missing since October 2005. He was 30 years old at the time.

The updated research comes after “receiving several confidential information regarding the ongoing investigation.”

“Agencies have exhausted the use of technical resources offered by BCI in attempting to follow up on leads given to us,” reads a press release issued by the sheriff’s office.

Law enforcement did not provide any additional information.

The Sheriff's Office encouraged anyone with information regarding Brubaker's disappearance to call the detective bureau at 419-289-8362.
