DAVIE COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A woman is missing in Davie County and law enforcement believes she may be in danger.

An Ashanti Alert has been issued for Cynthia “Cindy” Roberson Gobble, 60, of Mocksville Thursday.

“Citizens are urged to be on the lookout for Cynthia Roberson Gobble. There is evidence of physical endangerment, kidnapping, or abduction,” the alert states. “Anyone with information about Cynthia Roberson Gobble should call Captain DJ Smith at the Davie County Sheriff’s Office at (336) 399-1706.”

Gobble is approximately 5’6″ tall with brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a pink shirt that says “Colorado,” denim shorts, and brown sandals.

The suspect is identified as Gregory Wayne Gobble, 59, of Mocksville, who is approximately 5'10″ tall with graying hair, a mustache and beard, and may be wearing khakis and a white t-shirt.

Cynthia Gobble disappeared from a home in Mocksville, and they may be in a white 1997 Ford F250 pickup truck with an NC license plate number, YV1974. Another home in High Rock Lake was checked and their direction of travel is unknown.

Anyone seeing Cynthia or Gregory Gobble should contact the Davie County Sheriff's Office immediately.

Davie County Sheriff JD Hartman says Cynthia has diabetes and authorities believe she doesn't have her medication with her.

The family reports that it is strange that she was out of contact for so long and that her personal belongings were found in her vehicle.
