Ashanti Alert Issued for Missing Davie County Resident Cynthia Gobble

The NC Center for Missing Persons has issued an Ashanti Alert for Cynthia Roberson Gobble, a Davie County woman. Authorities say there was evidence to classify this case as physical endangerment, kidnapping or abduction.

Gobble is 60 years old, 5' 6″ tall, weighs 180 pounds, has shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink short-sleeved shirt reading “Colorado”, blue denim shorts and brown Birkenstock sandals.

The alleged suspect in this disappearance is Gregory Wayne Gobble. He is described as 59 years old, 5' 10'' and weighing 180 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.

Gregory Gobble also has facial hair that turns gray. He can be seen wearing a baseball cap (potentially also saying “Colorado” on the front) and sunglasses.

His last known clothing description was a white t-shirt and beige/khaki pants.

Cynthia was reported missing from a home in Mocksville and was believed to be traveling in a white 1997 Ford F250 truck with NC plate number YV1974.

Their direction of movement is not yet known. A suspicious house on High Rock Lake was previously searched with no sign of Gobble.
