Arvada Criminal Records: Missing Children Found, Large Fight Leads to Arrest, Walgreens Robbed

Three children — ages 7, 10 and 13 — went missing from the Park Terrace Apartments but were found a day later, according to Arvada police.

At approximately 2:45 p.m. on June 20, officers were dispatched to the building after the children's babysitter — who cares for a client who lives in the building — reported that they had disappeared from the playground where they were playing.

When officers arrived at the apartments, they searched the playground and surrounding area, to no avail. APD asked the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to issue an endangered missing person alert for the children.

The next morning, around 8 a.m. on June 21, Arvada police were notified that the children had been dropped off at the Denver Police Department's District 4 precinct by a grandparent. The children were picked up by Arvada police officers and were found to be safe and in good health.

The children were then released to a guardian. Arvada police are investigating the situation.

Major fight interrupted; armed man arrested

About 30 people were involved in a large fight near Miller Street and 64th Avenue at 9:45 p.m. on June 21. Arvada Police received a tip about the fight and received a report that a person involved in the altercation was brandishing a gun.

Officers responded to the scene and began breaking up several fights. The suspect armed with a firearm was identified and taken into custody. When officers searched his car, they found three handguns, a short-barreled assault rifle and high-capacity magazines.

The suspect was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on several charges, including criminal threatening, possession of an illegal weapon, possession of high-capacity magazines, resisting arrest, obstructing and of disorderly conduct.

Walgreens robbed

The Walgreens located at 6395 Sheridan Bldv. was robbed by a woman who told the cashier she had a gun around 12:20 p.m. on June 20. The woman demanded money from the register and fled on foot before officers arrived on scene.

Arvada and Westminster police searched the area for the suspect, but were unable to find her. She was described as a white female, 5 feet tall, dressed all in black, including a black mask and hooded sweatshirt. The matter remains under investigation.
