Clyburn is the first person arrested in connection with the shooting that left two people dead last week. Mincey and Maricus Kirk, 21, both died at the scene.

The block party along Southland Drive turned violent around 10 p.m. on June 1, when officers reported hearing gunshots coming from the party. A person who spoke anonymously to WCNC Charlotte said they saw people wearing ski masks during the shooting.

“It was like a war zone,” the person said. “There was gunfire coming from all directions.”
