Armed robbery reported in Snyder Hall, suspects arrested

A timely warning was sent out at 12:54 a.m. Thursday by the MSU Police Department, alerting members of the MSU community of a reported armed robbery in Snyder. Room.

The 12:54 a.m. email stated that “the suspects ordered a pizza and when it was delivered to Snyder Hall, they approached the driver, asked for his wallet and took the pizza.” The warning states that one of the suspects “displayed a gray handgun, possibly a Glock,” and that “the victim was struck after refusing to surrender his weapon.” wallet.”

The email said the suspects were seen running toward the MSU campus, south of Bogue Street, at 12:54 p.m. Law enforcement established a perimeter around the area and “attempted to track the suspects with a K9,” according to a social media statement posted by the MSU Department of Police and Public Safety, or MSUDPPS via Twitter.

The East Lansing Police Department, along with the Meridian Township Police Department and Ingham County 911 assisted MSUDPPS according to the social media release.

The timely warning came 16 minutes after an emergency message alerted community members of the police investigation at Snyder Hall and warned them to “avoid area.”

The victim “sustained minor injuries,” according to the MSUDPPS press release.
