Investigators are looking into whether the individual, who has not yet been identified, has a history of emotional problems or whether he attempted to radicalize in the name of terrorism.

The investigation is in its early stages as investigators work to determine whether it is clear why the suspect had the weapons. The suspect was detained at a police station in Elmhurst and charges were pending against him.
