LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Arkansas Community Foundation has created a survival fund in response to the devastating Fordyce mass shooting.

The Fordyce community was left reeling after a mass shooting that killed four people and injured ten others on June 21.

“We have experience helping rebuild communities after other disasters over the years, and we work with partners who have extensive experience with mass shootings,” Larkin continued. “The deaths of four Arkansans and the recovery needs of survivors give us an unfortunate reason to put some of the lessons we’ve learned into practice.”

The ACF is working with the Mass Violence Survivors Fund and Victims First to administer the fund, and ACF staff said the group will waive its usual administrative fees, meaning 100 percent of donations will go to those directly affected by the shooting.

The Mad Butcher grocery store where the shooting took place has been closed since the incident.

Travis Eugene Posey was arrested as the alleged shooter and pleaded not guilty to four counts of capital murder and ten counts of attempted capital murder.
