Argument leads to shooting, 2 men seriously injured

An argument broke out in a West Valley neighborhood that ended in gunfire. Here are the latest details.

PHOENIX — An argument between two men in a West Valley neighborhood ended with them being hospitalized after being shot, according to Phoenix police.

Police said officers were called to an area near 33rd Avenue and Roosevelt Street due to the shooting shortly before 5 p.m. Monday.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the two men who had been shot. They were both transported to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police said their investigation showed the two men got into an argument, leading one of the men to retreat and shoot the other.

That shooting led a family member of the man who was shot to pull out his own gun and shoot the first man.

Police said they have identified and taken into custody everyone involved and there is no threat to the community.

No person involved has been identified.

This is a developing story and more details will be added as they become available.
