Argument Leads to Fatal Assault in Fayetteville, North Carolina

An argument in an area near Cliffdale Road led to a stabbing on Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to reports of a “verbal disturbance between two males” at 1:12 p.m. in the 700 block of South Reilly Road, according to a news release from the Fayetteville Police Department.

Officers arrived and found a man suffering from a stab wound, according to the release.

The victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he died from his injuries, police said.
