Archdale man wanted in two counties arrested in Thomasville, sheriff's office says

LEXINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A man is facing multiple charges after being sought by multiple agencies.

The Davidson County Sheriff's Traffic and Enforcement Team arrested Hunter Alexander Spencer, 19, of Archdale during a traffic stop on Friday.

A press release from the Davidson County Sheriff's Office states that Spencer was wanted by the Thomasville Police Department for common theft, second degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation, theft of a motor vehicle, hit and run, missing driving license, misdemeanor theft and damage to real estate. Spencer was also wanted by the High Point Police Department for motor vehicle theft.

Additionally, Spencer was wanted by the Davidson County Sheriff's Office for committing a hit-and-run on a deputy's vehicle on Thursday.

Warrants for Spencer's arrest were issued for violating a stop sign, reckless driving, fleeing to elude arrest in a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon against a government official.

The release states that Spencer was allegedly combative during the stop, resulting in two additional counts of second-degree kidnapping and resisting arrest while attempting to force the driver of the vehicle he was in. found himself fleeing the police.

Spencer is due in court later this month.
