Anytime Fitness opens gym in strip mall near Mount Joy | What's in store

Anytime Fitness, which offers 24-hour access to members, has opened a new gym in Rapho township.

Anytime Fitness occupies a 3,200-square-foot space in the Mount Joy Square shopping center at 921 E. Main St., near Stauffers of Kissel Hill Fresh Foods.

The new fitness center features circuit and resistance training machines, free weights, and cardio equipment such as treadmills, elliptical machines, and stationary bikes. There are also a variety of small group fitness classes, nutrition counseling, 30-minute personal training sessions, and locker rooms with private showers.

Members can access the club whenever they want, even during off-peak hours, using a computerized key fob system. Anytime Fitness club membership gives members access to all other similar clubs at no additional cost.

Headquartered in Hastings, Minnesota, Anytime Fitness has more than 5,000 gyms. The Rapho Township gym is the only Anytime Fitness location in Lancaster County, although there were previously locations in East Petersburg and the City of Lancaster.

The franchise owner of the new Anytime Fitness near Mount Joy is Scott Hawley, a York County resident who previously did wireless communications retail sales.
