Another person identified in connection with fatal shooting, Sumter police say

SUMTER, SC (WOLO)– The Sumter Police Department said a third person has been identified in connection with the fatal shooting of a driver Monday.

Fernando Quintez Adams, 20, was identified as the third suspect in this case and is wanted on charges of murder and attempted murder in connection with the shooting death of Tavares McFadden and injury to a passenger who was in the vehicle with McFadden at the time of shooting. .

The department says officers are working to find Adams and a juvenile who was also identified in connection with the case.

One person arrested in connection with the case Curtis Jefferson, 19, of Mayesville, remains in custody.
